Can you find a seat?

Only report what you can see. Updates describe a moment in time, not a reserved seat.

Start on the campus map. Select any mapped building to see its reported activity by area. Open Melville Library to explore the official first-floor plan. Gray means no recent information. The sample activity switch previews the heatmap without claiming live conditions.

Know what you’re seeing

This version uses the actual first-floor map published on SBU Libraries’ Music Library visitor page. Colored boundaries are approximate interactive overlays. Selected buildings now include SBU-published indoor maps and event-space diagrams. Their dates and floor coverage are shown. Health Sciences Level 2 is mapped, but the Level 3 library interior is not. Buildings without a published map support whole-building reports and student-defined areas. Activity reports and recent check-ins are shared across devices. Saved favorites stay in your browser. Location coordinates are processed on your device; only your confirmed building and area are sent. Manual check-ins expire after 3 minutes; automatic location signals expire after 30 minutes. Automatic checks run every 15 minutes only while the page is visible. Exact coordinates stay on your device; the matched building ID is shared. Stop sharing removes your check-in.

Reports expire after 30 minutes. Gray means unknown, not empty. Study-space names and amenities come from SBU Libraries. The plan may include older labels; follow current building signage. Availability starts unknown until someone reports it.
